In Honor of the Inauguration

Sincere would like to present to you the last 10 presidents!!!

Like 2 weeks ago we were in Barnes and Nobles and I spotted this President Fandax. Sincere is good with names and faces so I thought this might be a fun party trick. I am always looking for new ways to entertain guests. Well he has been picking them up quickly. Funny things from behind the scenes (consider this your bonus material on the dvd). Sincere calls the first George Bush, Herbert Bush in order to avoid confusion with the second. But his original name for him the first time we went through the cards was Rat Bush. I kid you not. Out of the mouth of babes. :)

He kept calling Richard Nixon "scccaaarryyy" I don't know why put he was scared of him. He says Jimmy Carter like he is talking about the tv show "Welcome Back Carter" and insists on saying Lyndon Johnson's name in a high pitched voice. I just report the facts I don't even question.

Phonics and words

Sincere has been able to sound out words for a while now. We begin doing phonics with him about 17 months after he learned the alphabet. After Sincere had the letters down it picked up the sounds right away. Then we worked on sight words and then phonics. I don't know if that is the order you supposed to do it in but oh well. LOL! Sometimes he will guess at a word but if I slow him down and tell him to sound it out he gets the word. He has figured out some tough words when we are out in public.

I just realized in the video when he says dog he does a downward dog. LOL! And when he isn't paying attention in the middle of the video I held up a piece of Christmas candy to get his attention. Bad mommy. :)

Sincere Calling Shantel

I don't talk a lot on the cell phone. But I will admit when I do I tend to talk to Shantel the most. The other day I was sitting with Sincere and he picked up the phone and started to try to call Shantel and he acted like she picked up the phone and they were talking. He went on and on so I ran to the room grabbed the camera and he called her quickly again for me. So funny because he actually gave a pretty good imitation of me.

Maybe this means we talk to each other too much!!!

Parent of the Year Award Here I Come

Sincere went to go see Santa. Everything was fine until he actually had to get near the big guy. After that it was downhill. Of course being the attentive loving mom I am I stood there and recorded it instead of comforting him. I am telling you I am one bad parenting decision from mom of the year.:)

Reading and Zac makes a mess

Okay this took for ever for me to capture. Trying to hold an active kid on your lap, point and click with one hand and hold a camera with the other is a hard task. Plus Sincere doesn't really like to perform on demand so this video took about a month to get. LOL!

This is an online book from an awesome site called Starfall. Sincere likes the Zac the Rat book. I think its because Zac makes a mess and doesn't clean it up. You can hear Sincere say "Zac made a mess" in the video. He is clearly impressed with his ability to make a mess. Figures.

Trains Across America

I had to get a video of Sincere and his trains up. He is so in love with his trains its not funny. He knows the names of every train and will correct you if you say the wrong name. He plays with them, baths with them, sleeps in the bed with them. He is trains all day everyday. So here is a video of him saying some of his trains names.

He also is starting to learn the states. He has about 8 down and we are trying to add some every week. I need to get a map puzzle with states that aren't connected. Its hard to teach the states when 5 of them are on one piece. But here he goes.

Spanish and Lots of Energy

So I have a couple videos of Sincere I need to post. So many videos so
little time. So here are two I manage to get up. I will try to post the
rest later. The first one is Sincere speaking Spanish. He
knows his colors, up to 10, some body parts and some simple requests
and commands in Spanish. Its almost more then I know. Its wild how
easily they pick up aforeign language!!! Especially since we don't
speak it in the home. The second one is just a sample of the type of
energy Sincere has every day all day. Its funny watching it on tape but
not so funny when he is doing this at 4:30 in the morning. :(
